Public infrastructures such as buildings (schools, hospitals, swimming pools, administrative buildings) incur high operating costs. We consider potential savings possibilities right from the planning phase. Costs can be reduced in particular in the areas of energy, cleaning and administration.
The share of operating costs compared with overall costs is particularly high in public buildings:
- Schools and nurseries: 94%
- Hospitals: 93%
- Sports halls: 89%
- Administrative buildings: 81%
Operating costs are generally determined in the planning phase. We analyse the control level for operating costs during the planning phase and propose ways of optimising the latter. Areas are thus used in an optimum, flexible manner with different long-term concepts for use. This provides leeway for flexibility and avoids excess capacity.
We provide impetus for regional development: on the basis of our work we know where regional offers are lacking. This creates new impetus for development. In addition, significant implementation opportunities arise from the linking of public and private interests and services.
