Family and professional life
Family values are fostered by Rhomberg. Every fourth employee is a parent of children in nursery or school. Tailor-made employment arrangements are not unusual within our group: flexible part-time models, home working, working hours adapted to nursery and school times and fixed positions within a child care organisation are some of the options that we offer. We offer employees on leave possibilities for further training and actively encourage them to return.
We offer our working mothers and fathers the possibility of having their children looked after in the “Villa Wichtel” directly opposite our premises at a preferential rate.
Our package of measures has also been commended in the context of the most family-friendly large business in the Vorarlberg region which confirms that we are on the right track.
Supporting mobility
In order to ensure that business trips are not made exclusively with private cars, we offer the following alternatives: provision of business cards and advantage cards for the Austrian railways, membership of Car-Sharing Drive and the promotion of car pooling. An essential element in our mobility work is the annual “mobility campaign” in which employees who come to work using public transport, bicycles or on foot are awarded mobility points. These points are collected and later exchanged for attractive vouchers. We also provide company bicycles and check private bicycles to guarantee safety.
Health
Only healthy employees are able to provide a good service. We know that poor health is often caused by the working environment. We also know that a great deal can be achieved with small measures. In cooperation with our company doctor Dr. Agnes Thurnher and our environmental team we offer a range of measures to promote health on a daily basis in the working environment. Fresh Bodensee fruit offers a vitamin boost, ergonomic workstations adapted to personal requirements and training days on the subject of health are just a few examples of actions which guarantee healthy, bright employees. We also offer preventive medical checkups, vaccinations and advice on health issues.
